  • The Z-1000 controller kit replaces the Z-1002, but with no LED confusion, false readings, and can simultaneously operate multiple Z-1000 switch machines. This is more dependable than alternate methods due to the isolation buffer on our product! Panel mounted too! This controller has its own supply for the LEDs and only receives a very small signal from the Z-1000. This ensures the LED is on & properly indicating the switch(es) position. The O22 version operates the same as above and the instructions provide details for connection and installation. The toggle switch is center off with momentary positions to throw the switch machine. Nice and clean installation requires drilling three holes in the control panel. The LEDs are positioned where you want them and the toggle switch can be mounted near the switch icon on the panel. This is available with just the controller board, or as a complete kit with board, the LED PCBs and switch. Note that since we cannot control what you do if the controller is used with other switches or LEDs/lights, there is not warranty unless used with the specified items. The top right connector on the control board can handle up to 2 Amps AC or DC to additionally control signals or other accessories. If you find challenges on your installation, just contact us!

    Amplifier board overview

This is a Class D (switching) audio amplifier, designed to provide a gain of up to 24dB with less than 10% total harmonic distortion & noise (THD+N). Output power: 2.5 Watts with 4-ohm speaker, 1.5Watts with 8-ohm speaker. Filter-less architecture allow this amplifier to drive speakers directly without the need for low-pass output filters.  Amplifier efficiency is much better that equivalent Class AB amplifiers.  On-board voltage regulation allows DC input power from 7 to 20 volts.  On-board volume control.  On-board ferrite EMI filtering Two audio inputs: DAC input for connection to Ngineering’s Little Sound modules, and a AUD input for standard low-level audio output from devices such as small portable radios and recorders. Small 1.50” x 0.60” size allows placement in even the tightest spots.

    Speaker

For applications where larger sound output is needed, this 28mm (1.10" diameter) speaker is perfect for small to mid size scale situations. Perfect for stationary sound effects in the smaller to mid-scales and excellent performance in HO rolling stock applications. It can easily handle 1-1/2-Watts of power continuously. Like the speaker above, it is manufactured using a highly efficient rare-earth magnet which greatly enhances performance while keeping overall size to a minimum. It also has a peel-off  sticky mounting ring for easy installation, and protective metal speaker cone guard and screen. A well regulated, isolated supply is necessary to gain quality volume output.  Select the supply below for great results.

  • Crossing Signal (Pair) – Custom Signals

    $33.00$75.00

    Crossbucks Lights with LEDs

We have several variations of these Custom Signal Crossbucks.  These signals work with our Crossbuck Controller and IR sensors.  For isolated track sections, the more simpler Controller works great. These crossing signals are the last of the O Scale Custom Signal brand of the crossbucks.  Quality is almost as good as the Tomar crossbucks.  The LEDs include a lens.  Same drive board is used for operation.  Trigger from controller board may be IR beam OR isolated track.  These signals come two per purchase as listed, or single units.  One mast will have the characteristic bell at the top.  On the real railroads only one mast of two would have the bell.  The signals come with a phone plug that will be cut off to use the Royz Trains Crossbuck Controller.  We have controller boards with proper current limiting resistor but some may require a 680 ohm resistor (supplied) is added to the common anode lead and then the wires are connected to the drive board.  If you use these product with other than our products, the user is responsible for providing the proper resistor size. Multiple configurations are available:
    • Two lights per signal - two signals
    • Four lights per one signal, Two lights on the second signal.
    • Six lights per one signal, two lights on the second signal.
    • If you need to mix and match, contact me for availability.
Also if you want just one signal of either of the three configurations, please contact me.

  • RR Crossing Signals

    $299.90$359.00
These O Scale crossing signals are sold as a pair with 4 heads each or with the crossing gates.  All are fully operational and the most scale like we know. These work with our control products or may be used as standalone.  We offer an Infrared detection pair to allow for actuation from either direction to the crossing and up to 5 tracks (24" separation between sensors).  The LEDs in the cross bucks are dual sided. You can see more at Crossing Signal Detection and Driver Board. Note it is easy to burn out the LEDs if you use beyond the voltage recommended, or other than the prescribed controllers. The controller board will also drive our Crossing Signal Sounds board without an additional supply.

  • Crossing Signal Detection and Driver Board

    $31.00$72.00
This Driver board may be used in any scale with common anode LEDs in the crossbucks. These include Tomar and Custom Signals. If you have a specific application, contact us to see how to best support you. The Flasher board used is from Ngineering. This Railroad Crossing Signal Track Detection and Light Driver Board operates from accessory voltage (AC or DC).  On board are up to two detection circuits, a realistic flasher for the LEDs, and circuitry to support gate operation.  Typically railroad crossings are activated by a train coming from either direction.  And continue to operate until the train leaves the protected block.  On your railroad, this protection block may be defined by Infrared beams or isolated rail (3 rail O Gauge).  The IR signal can support up to 5 parallel tracks and the IR beam will stretch 25" reliably (and more with good alignment!).  The height of the beam may be at wheel level or car/engine body level.  In addition, this board also supports isolated sections of track.  Why both?  Simple;  some model railroaders use the isolated track to trigger occupancy signals for small or large section of track.  Our approach allows a separate source for detecting a train in the protected crossing block. So far I have sold more units to O Scale folks who rely on the IR approach. And the fun doesn't stop there!  The main board will also drive the Crossing Bell sounds, just select this option.
